Sick Day.

We have all been sick around here for the last 2 weeks so we didn't get dressed everyday because we were certainly not going anywhere. The coughs, drippy noses, and fevers didn't keep the dress up away though!!

All 3 girls in 1 picture (you just witnessed a miracle)
Libby lookin' hot!
Shelby taking a bow
Ellie after she took out her hair-do. Rockin' the mohawk!

Ellie's 1st Birthday!

On Ellie's birthday we went to Monkey Business with Grandma & Grandpa Hammons. We had a blast, but I only took video there and no pics. When Daddy got home from work we opened presents which only lasted about 3.5 seconds because her 2 older sisters quickly unwrapped them all without any help. Ellie could care less though, it just got her presents out faster to play with. :)
Ellie really enjoyed her butterfly cake that Grandma made!
She would only use her thumb and pointer finger to pick up little pieces to eat so it took a long time but, it was adorable.
Grandpa Hammons chillin with Ellie and all of her loot!

Ellie has been the EASIEST child in the world. She has always slept great, ate great, played sweet, and is such a happy girl. She loves to read! She loves her sisters and wants so badly to keep up with them and do everything that they do. She is busy, there is no place, cupboard, or drawer that she hasn't gotten into. She has been my tallest and biggest baby she is in 3t clothes which is the same as her older sister (Libby).

This post is over a month late since her birthday was on 2-1-2011 so I can now say that she started walking on 2-21-2011 which was the soonest any of my kids have walked. She is well on her way to keeping up with her sisters. Being the baby of the family she is spoiled, but there isn't a rotten bone in her body. We love her so much and she has been such a joy to our family. Her smiling face always brightens my day. WE LOVE YOU ELLIE!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

Way back in Dec.

I have been awful at updating my blog so I thought I would just quickly post a few pictures of our December 2010. It may not be detailed, but at least I have found a couple minutes to do something!

Ellie with her Reindeer on Christmas Eve. I sure love my squishy!!

Shelby just enjoying her sonic slush.

Libby trying not to pay attention to me since I was attempting at a picture.

The girls making Santa cookies. Shelby was so focused and they turned out great. Libby re-frosted her 3 cookies about 5 times each (Santa wasn't too tempted to eat hers :)

Opening out Christmas Eve presents (PJ's & a game)

The 3 girls in their jammies and ready to start playing their game.

Ellie in her new PJ's.

The girls dollhouse that Santa brought them.

Shelby wanted to take a picture with Daddy & this pillow ??????

Libby reading to me and Ellie

Ellie just being cute!!

Libby & cousin Macey playing in Grandma's pantry.

This was the first time in 3+ years that the whole family was able to get together.
It was a great Christmas Season!

My Very First Snowday!

So I know it has been Forever since I have blogged and one of these days I may go back and update some of the fun things we did, but since my life is a little crazy we will just go from here. With that said I have had my very first official snowday. Despite going to school in the American Sibera I have NEVER had a day where school and work has been cancelled until last week that is. Both work and school were rescheduled so we decided to take advantage of the PERFECT snow and make a snowman and snowball soup! Here are some pics of our fun day. Here is Ellie helping the best way she know how, by singing and laughing in her sled.
All the girls hard at work!

Ellie is dressed and ready to get out in the snow. (no make-up happens on snow days OK!)

Libby putting ballons on the plant snowman that she made. She also refused to keep gloves on so, Mom I did try :)

Shelby making snow angels.

Our 9 1/2 foot snowman, they were having to much fun to stop and pose for the camera so this is the best one we could get.

Jon and Libby with the finished product, Libby is extremely proud of her balloon idea for the tounge.

Making snowball soup for our very hungry snowman!
Well needless to say we had a great time and the girls had so much fun that we all skipped a nap and made hot chocolate when we finally came inside. I am going to try to be better at posting, but let's be honest, I am super busy and my computer moves at an incrediable slow rate!!

Reasons I love being a Mom

So I get my camera out so that I can take a few pictures of Ellie since she has been severly negelcted on the photo shoots due to time. As I am getting her ready her sisters are saying "cheese...cheese...mom do you see me take a pic of me too" so this first shot is the picture that I got of Ellie that I thought turned out best.

she is so stinkin cute, I wish I was a better photographer to capture it all.

Her is Libby trying her hardest to get in on the photo shoot. She is so funny I just die laughing everyday because of her little personality. She has TONS!

Here Libby is posing for me and then comes Shelby down the stairs....

Need I say more???
I love my little girls they are so fun and always entertaining.

Ellie's Blessing

On May 2nd we blessed our sweet little Ellie at church. It was so nice to have family and friends in town to share this special day. (I am kicking myself because I didn't get a picture of all 5 of us together, which once again nominates me for Mother of the Year!) Ellie has been such a blessing to our family and I am enjoying ever second of having her in our family. She is so calm and happy. She is willing to give anyone a smile and is content to do just about anything you want her to. She has slept through the night since she was about 4 weeks old and is my most cuddly baby. I love being her mom and even though I was terrified to have a 3rd child I am so grateful to have her and she has made it very manageable. I love you Ellie!

square-foot garden

Shelby has convinced Jon and I to start a garden which we are not so sure we are excited about since we really are responsible to take care of it, but hopefully it will be a teaching/learning moment. Here are some pics of our festivities.

Ellie slept the entire time, she seriously is the BEST baby in the world.
The girls loved mixing all the different types of Chicken poop, steer crap, and whatever else we mixed in there.

this was the best pic of my attempt to get them to look at me.

Here is Libby throwing the mix with her bare hands in the garden while Shelby is carefully scooping it up with her gloves and shovel.
Well wish us luck Libby already thinks it is a sandbox so if we get anything to grow I will consider it a success! We planted onion, tomatoes, flowers, peppers, peas, and ummm well that is all I can remember for right now. Like I said I am not much of a gardener. :)

So different

Anyone who knows my Shelby and my Libby knows that they are both super sweet, but they are extremely different. One of there biggest differences is at mealtime. Shelby is easy to clean up after and Libby...well I dread feeding her only because I know what kind of aftermath is to follow.
Shelby's 1st Birthday while eating her cake. Realizing she is messy and stops completely!

Here is Libby on her 1st birthday! (notice Shelby and her look of horror)

Libby after dinner last week

Shelby after dinner last week.

Just a day in the life at the our house. So here is to my girls and their very unique personalities that I love and adore. It is crazy that before kids are even 1 they already have a little Personality in them! As different as they all are I love them to pieces. Pics of Ellie to come shortly, next time I get 5 min to post anyway...so maybe not shortly?????

This = That

Here is a picture of me and all my glory at the hospital about to deliver Ellie. While I am aware that most people don't care to see me in my PJ's before birthing a child it is necessary in order to illustrate the point of this blog...

I never can pose very well for the end of term prego pics!
I know that their are many types of Postpartum some people get depressed, cry a ton, lonely, angry and the list could go on and on; but for me I feel an overwhelming desire to purchase a copious amount of furniture after the birth of my girls. I know this is strange but it has happened with all of my children and for some reason it makes me very happy. Many of you know that Jon and I have been looking at bedroom furniture for at least a year now and I always let the "practical" side of me make the decision to hold off because it is really not that necessary. After Ellie though the story changed and my will power no longer existed and we bought this beautiful set; which I love! So here is to having babies and the cause and effect...

Here is the bed with the 2 night stands

this dresser is awesome because it has a ton of hidden compartments and it is large enough for ALL of my stuff.

As you can see the mirror opens it can house up to a 46' flat screen TV with special compartments for the DVD player. We haven't purchased the TV yet but it is pretty cool.

Here is Jon's dresser. This thing was custom made for him because it is so tall that I can't see into the top 2 drawers without a stool; but he has no trouble at all.

Needless to say we probably shouldn't have any more kids because it ends up costing us a small fortune to ensure that I don't get depressed. :)
